What this site collects

The site has one form, for booking the food truck for an event. It collects your first and last name, email, phone, event date, city, type of event, number of guests and, if you want, the notes you write in the free text field. It also records the language of the page you send it from. Every field except the notes is required: without them we cannot reply.

In the notes, write only what we need to organise the event: no health data or other special categories of data, and no data about other people that the event does not require.

There are no accounts and no newsletter. Beyond that the site collects no personal data through forms: on your device it stores only the technical cookie described in the cookie policy.

Why we use it

We use the form data only to reply with availability and a quote and, if the event is confirmed, to organise it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The site's server does not keep the request in a database: it forwards it by email to truck@meatcrew.it, where we reply from.

How long we keep it

We keep the request for 12 months from the day it is sent, then delete it from the truck@meatcrew.it mailbox. That is the time needed to handle the negotiation and to find the request again if the event is moved or proposed again in the same season.

If the event goes ahead, the data needed for the contract and the invoice are kept for the period the law sets for accounting records (ten years, Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).

Who we share it with

Only the controller's staff authorised to handle events process the data. These providers also process it on our behalf, as data processors: Vercel Inc., which hosts the site and the server that receives the form, Resend, which delivers the request by email, and Google, which provides the truck@meatcrew.it mailbox (Google Workspace). The data are not made public.

Transfers outside the European Union

Vercel, Resend and Google are based in the United States and may process the data there too. The transfer relies on these companies' participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, found adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023, and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission, included in their data processing agreements.

Browsing data

Like any website, when you visit it the server receives some technical data: IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time. Vercel processes it to run the site and protect it from abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and it stays in the technical logs for the period Vercel sets.

To prevent repeated form submissions, the server keeps a hashed fingerprint of the IP address in memory for no more than 15 minutes, then deletes it.

External services

Orders go through Deliveroo, Crispy Club sign-ups through Piggy, job applications through Teamtailor and purchases through the online shop (shop.meatcrew.it). When you open one of those links, that service handles your data under its own policy.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing and portability of the data you gave us (Arts. 15-20 GDPR), or object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR), by writing to info@meatcrew.it. Say in the email which right you want to exercise. We ask for an identity document only if we have reasonable doubts that the request comes from you (Art. 12(6) GDPR). We reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
